This guide explains how to install 888 x86 once your 888 client has forced an update.

There are 2 files involved in the process.

• “Version.cmx”
• 888_x86.exe

Step 1: Let 888 Update Normally

First step is to just update 888 when it asks you, or even better, go to 888 download page, download & install the latest version.

Step 2: Get the latest Version.cmx file

Ok, now you know you have the latest 888 version, which means that will reflect on a “version.cmx” updated file. You can go to the folder where it is stored (Go to “%localappdata%\..\Roaming\PacificPoker\Utils”) and backup that version.cmx file, you will need it later.

How to locate the Version.cmx File: Copy the path above into the folder explorer and hit Enter.

Step 3: Download & Install 888_x86

In order to install and keep 888 x86 version:

• Uninstall your current 888 version
• Download & Install from here https://hirokuscript.s3.eu-west-2.amazonaws.com/PokerSiteInstallers/888_x86.exe
• Once the next pop up shows up, simply close it by the corner cross. Don’t open 888 yet.
  

Step 4: Replace the Version.cmx File

Now the last step is to go to the Version.cmx folder that was explained in Step 1 and replace with the backed up file.

• Go to “%localappdata%\..\Roaming\PacificPoker\Utils” and replace Version.cxm with the downloaded/backup one.

Now you can open 888 like you normally do.
